Pity Party Over

Today I was thinking about the post I wrote last night.

I was upset that I let a few customers get to me when I have so many customers that are happy.

I was upset that I let a few customers make me question my grooming skills.

I was upset that I let a few customers bring me down.

I LOVE WHAT I DO!!!!!

I LOVE BEING A PROFESSIONAL PET GROOMER!

I Love being a puppies first groomer.

I Love teaching a puppy that a bath can feel good and not be scary.

I Love taking a dog from this......

....to this.

I Love when they trust me.

I Love that some customers let me play with color.

I Love that some of the dogs feel comfortable enough to play on the drying table.

I Love that I can get dogs to relax enough to go to sleep on my table.

I Love that I am lucky enough to own my own business.

I Love helping matted dogs to.....

......feel better.

When I was growing up, I wanted to be a Veterinarian.

After High School, I worked for one.

I very quickly realized that it was not for me.

I have too soft of a heart.

Giving shots would not have bothered me.

Doing surgeries would not have bothered me.

I certainly would have been happy helping and healing animals.

My problem was, I would never had been able to put an animal to sleep.

It would have killed me not to be able to save an animal.

I saw some very upsetting things in that short time.

I remember being so excited when I found out about pet grooming.

There was a way of working with dogs all day and making them feel and look good.

I just needed to remember.

Remember why I became a Professional Pet Groomer.

Remember all of those dirty matted dogs that I have sent home feeling a 100% better then when they came in to me.

Remember all of the times that I was able to educate a customer on how to take care of their dogs coat, and they really listened to me.

Remember all of the dogs, over the years, that I found things on them that needed to be seen by a Vet.

Remember that I have actually saved a few dogs by my early detection of something while grooming.

Remember all of those really great customers that I have had over the years.

Remember all of those dogs that I really love to groom.

I am a Professional Pet Groomer....

....AND PROUD OF IT!!!!!!

I will always do my best.

 If a customer doesn't like my style of grooming, and I can't make them happy, that's okay.

There is a groomer out there somewhere for them. 

It just isn't me. :)

I groom for the dogs!
