About Me:

I am a professional Pet Groomer. I have been grooming for 28 years. This Blog is a kind of diary of my work. I wish I had started years ago, writing some of the experiences I have had while grooming. Most days are fun, some can be sad, some can be just down right crazy. If you are a pet owner and come across this blog, I hope it helps you understand how your pet is groomed. If you are a Pet Groomer, I hope you can relate to some of the stories. Maybe even learn a grooming tip or can leave a friendly grooming tip for me. There is always something to learn, no matter how long you have been grooming.

A Groomers Simple Pleasure....

....A Poodle that does not constantly pull his/her feet away while you are trying to shave them. :)

  1. Haha!! Or, a dog that doesn't refuse to stand up, or a dog that doesn't spin, or a dog that doesn't try to eat your face off when you do his nails, or a dog that doesn't slobber all over your good work before mom comes to pick him up, or a dog.....etc., etc. Karen in NJ

  2. If only we lived in a perfect world, right?
My own poodle even does this! Granted she spent her first several months of life neglected, then in a shelter, and I was the first person to give her a real haircut at nearly a year old. She had been shaved, head to toe, only once before in her life. After almost a year of having her and grooming her twice a month, she doesn't pull or scream when I shave her face anymore... but those feet! OMG, I have to baby her and beg, treats on stand-by... and we finally get it after 20 MINUTES! Poor thing.
    I feel your pain :\

  3. Mine, we have a hard time to groom her, she always refuse to touch her. I don't know why groomers is very easy for them to touch down the pet.The pet groomer said that you should touch softly the back of the ear of the pet and that's it.
