About Me:

I am a professional Pet Groomer. I have been grooming for 28 years. This Blog is a kind of diary of my work. I wish I had started years ago, writing some of the experiences I have had while grooming. Most days are fun, some can be sad, some can be just down right crazy. If you are a pet owner and come across this blog, I hope it helps you understand how your pet is groomed. If you are a Pet Groomer, I hope you can relate to some of the stories. Maybe even learn a grooming tip or can leave a friendly grooming tip for me. There is always something to learn, no matter how long you have been grooming.

Believe It or Not

I have finally FINISHED replying to all the comments that got backed up on me from working on my books and going to Intergroom.
I'll try not to let them get that backed up again.

So, if you had asked me a question, I have finally answered it. :)
Sorry for taking so long.
Every time I answered a good number of  comments, the next day there would be even more.

It was kind of like some of those grooming dreams I have had.

You know the ones.

The dream were you are grooming and every time you finished a dog, and it goes home, another dog magically appears.
The kennels are never empty and you are never, ever going home again.

Come on, please tell me that I am not the only one who has these dreams. lol

The very last comment that I replied to told me that I was insane....in caps!
I think that they  really wanted to make sure that I understood that they did not agree with my post.
Oh well, to each their own. :)

Now I can get back to those Intergroom pictures, and a couple of the other post that I am working on.

Happy Grooming, MFF

  1. I tend to be grooming the same 3 dogs all night long, in really strange places, like hotel rooms, with all the wrong tools, and naturally I'm behind because who wouldn't be under those circumstances?!

I HATE those dreams. Although I suppose they do beat out the hurricane of fire I had to save nursing home residents from when I worked there for 6 months...

    1. Hi Jennifer,
Those dreams can make you wake up with your heart racing till you realize it was only a dream. lol
As for the hurricane of fire...I don't even know what to say about that. :)

  2. I am a (new) groomer, at my first grooming job. I work for a mobile company. I keep having dreams where I mess up a groom or the dog bites me!

    1. Hi Emi,
That is probably your fears coming through in your dreams. Don't worry, I think that ALL groomers have those fears when they first started grooming.

All that you can do is take your time and watch what you do. Most accidents happen when a groomer rushes, or is not paying attention to what they are doing. (talking to, or looking at something else while grooming)

As for biting...stay calm and relaxed while you groom. It really does help the dog relax too.
